🇺🇸 Presidents’ Day – February 16 🇺🇸

Presidents’ Day is a time to recognize the leaders who have served our country and reflect on the qualities of leadership, service, and responsibility.

In our classrooms, students may explore what it means to be a positive leader and how they can make a difference in their school and community. We encourage our Panthers to lead each day by being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind.

Wishing all of our SVES families a wonderful long weekend! 🇺🇸

First Grade Had a BIG Week at SVES!

Our first graders truly shined last week! They kicked things off by celebrating the 101st Day of School, bringing creativity, excitement, and lots of learning into the building.

Students then proudly shared their Creature Feature projects with the entire school as part of their Arts & Letters module assessment. Through their presentations, they showcased strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, and their confidence truly shone. It was a powerful example of authentic learning in action and a celebration of all they have accomplished.

To top it all off, six first graders represented SVES as Pawsitive Panthers at the School Board Meeting, where they were recognized for consistently demonstrating what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. We are so proud of the way they model our SVES values both inside and outside of the classroom.

First grade… you understood the assignment. Keep up your hard work! 🐾✨

🌺📚 Llama Mia’s Learning Luau: Family Math & Literacy Night! 📐🌴

Get ready for an evening of learning, laughter, and luau-style fun! Saucon Valley Elementary School is excited to invite families to Llama Mia’s Learning Luau: Family Math & Literacy Night on Thursday, February 26 from 5:00-7:00 pm in the SVES Cafeteria.

We’ll kick off the evening with a brief opening presentation from 5:00–5:15 pm in the SVES Conference Room, where families can learn more about SVES’s Title I status. This presentation will continue to play throughout the evening for those who are unable to attend right at 5:00.

From 5:20–6:45 pm, students and families are invited to rotate through a variety of interactive math and literacy stations in the cafeteria. These hands-on activities will be led by our teachers and are intentionally designed to connect the math and literacy learning that happens at school to activities families can continue at home. The goal is to provide practical, engaging ways for families to support learning together beyond the classroom. As students visit stations, they’ll complete their Learning Luau Passport, which can be turned in to earn a prize to take home.

The evening will wrap up with Teacher Q & A sessions from 6:45–7:00 pm, providing families an opportunity to ask questions and connect with staff.

And don’t forget ~ Mrs. Lemay will be hosting the Book Fair in the LGI from 5:00–8:00 pm, so be sure to stop by and browse some great reads during the evening!

We look forward to welcoming our families for a fun, meaningful night celebrating learning ~ luau style! 🌺🐾
