Hello Pershing Families!

Halloween at Pershing is always such a great time! Keep reading for all the details. Pershing will celebrate on Friday, Oct. 30th. Classroom parties start at 2:00. PLEASE do not send candy. The kids will get a ton of it when they go Trick or Treating on Saturday. Also, PLEASE don't make my office staff have to police the candy. I appreciate you! You can reach out to the teacher to see if there is something they might need to make their party more successful and help in that way. COSTUMES can be warn to school. However, absolutely NO WEAPONS or things that could be construed as a weapon. MASKS can be brought to school but students will not be able to wear them until it is parade time. If the weather cooperates with us, we will make our way over to Freedom Park (across the street) at 1:30 and parade around the inside of the soccer field about a half dozen times. We ask that parents & families sort of just scatter around the outside of the field and watch! Lastly, it becomes a lot when students are being taken from school to get changed at home and then return to school, so we ask that everyone just come dressed for the day. If your family does not celebrate Halloween, please reach out to their teacher and let them know. We have some fun games and things the kids can be participating in if Halloween isn't your thing. Did I forget anything? Just reach out to me via email and I will get back to you if you have any other questions. We are looking forward to a SPOOKY GOOD TIME!

At Pershing, learning isn't just about what we coverโ€”it's about who we become along the way. Driven by The Panther Way, our school is a community where everyone is warmly welcomed, deeply supported, and empowered to tackle even the tough stuff together. Thatโ€™s why we are so proud to be recognized once again as an Apple Distinguished School! Our students bring their wild imaginations to life with passion and purpose. Whether they're designing, editing, or building something entirely original, various tools, including digital ones, give our kids the power to collaborate, find their unique voices, and thrive with a team cheering them on every step of the way. Today is a great day to be a Panther! Please check out our PERSHING ADS Video.

See you Monday morning~

Ms. Bazz & Mrs. Humphris

School Safety/Visitors---Seguridad Escolar/Visitantes

Please remember if you need to enter the building, you need to enter through our main entrance on 37th Street to gain a visitors pass.

Entry into our schools during school hours is restricted using access control and security vestibules, and security cameras are utilized to monitor building security throughout the district. Parents and other visitors coming into schools must check in at the main office. Visitors will be asked to identify themselves and the reason for their visit before gaining access to our buildings. Only one person will be allowed entry into the building at a time. Please do not hold the door open for other visitors behind you or allow others through the door when leaving. We ask for your support and cooperation in communicating with our front office staff and complying with all visitor security protocols.

Our K-5 students begin entering the building promptly at 8:25. The gates open at 8:15. All students K-5 should line up on the blacktop with their classroom. We will have many teachers available to help find your child's classroom if they are completely registered. Find your childโ€™s classroom line and the rest is up to us!. Dismissal is at 3:00 and students will be dismissed on the playground. Please meet your child on the playground or you can use the drive up service with Ms. Bazz on Scoville. Please make sure that your student(s) & their teachers know they should come to Ms. Bazz on Scoville at the end of the day and I will help them into your cars. PLEASE DO NOT JUST STOP AND DOUBLE PARK ON SCOVILLE. If your child isn't there yet, please drive around. Holding up the traffic pattern makes things chaotic.

Please remember there is NO PARKING in our fire lane on 37th Street or in the alley. If you are parking you will need to find street parking around the school and walk to the playground to pick up your child.
