January Staff and Community
CTE Month
Happy January!
This month, we are excited to celebrate Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month!
If you hear "CTE" and still think of old-school vocation training, it's time for an upgrade. CTE is about innovation, hands-on problem solving, and connecting classroom learning to life after high school.
What does CTE look like?
It looks like the real world.
While every CTE class is different, they all share the same DNA.
You can expect collaborative workspaces, industry-standard equipment, and students who are taking charge of their own learning. It’s the place where "learning" transitions into "doing."
From the sparks in the welding shop to the growth in the greenhouse, the precision of health science and robotics to the energy of our kitchens, childcare labs, and student teaching classrooms—this is education in action.
Keep your eyes peeled!
January is going to be busy! We are turning up the volume on everything CTE and we want you to be part of it. From lunchtime activities to earning raffle tickets and everything in between - watch for more information from you high school to learn how to get involved.
CCSD Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are open to all students and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.
