Dear TCVS Students and Families,

Transformation is one of our core values at TCVS. Positive transformation opens the door to improvement, new possibilities, and growth. But meaningful transformation can only begin when we are willing to take an honest look at where we are right now.

As we begin end of quarter testing, I ask for your help in giving our teachers that honest picture of student learning. Our teachers want the opportunity to grow the minds of our students and help develop the transformative leaders of tomorrow, but they need authentic assessment results to do that. During testing, please help us ensure that students complete assessments independently, without assistance from secondary devices, websites, or other people.

Please know that we will never be disappointed by the results of an honestly taken assessment. Those results give us something incredibly valuable: an authentic starting point from which we can meet students where they are and help them grow.

That same spirit of honest reflection applies to us as a school. We are nearing the end of our first marking period in a new program format and on a new learning platform. As we begin looking ahead to the 2027–28 school year, we want to understand what is working well, where challenges remain, and how we can continue to improve the TCVS experience for our students and families. We hope you will help us by completing the survey below and sharing your honest feedback. Just like our students, we can only grow when we understand where we are today.

Marking Period 1 Experience Survey

Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to learn, grow, and transform together.

Warm regards,

Dr. Lucas

    🌅 Senior Sunrise 🌅

Our Class of 2027 came together bright and early on September 10 to celebrate the start of their senior year at Senior Sunrise! Seniors enjoyed breakfast, music, time with friends, and a beautiful sunrise at Woodforest Bank Stadium.

It was a special morning of connection, celebration, and memory-making as our seniors began their final year at TCVS. We loved starting this milestone year together and can’t wait to see what the months ahead have in store for the Class of 2027!

    🦋 HMNS Meet Up! 🦖

From extraordinary animal adaptations to the wonders of the museum’s permanent exhibits, there was plenty to discover during our September 30 visit to the Houston Museum of Natural Science! The Extreme Animals Alive! exhibit gave students an up-close look at some remarkable survival skills, and a Giant Screen experience added even more adventure to the day.

Learning is even better when we can experience it together, and we are so glad our TCVS students and families joined us for this fun day beyond the virtual classroom!
