Parent-Teacher Conferences are right around the corner! As parents and guardians, you play a crucial role in your child's education. Your involvement and collaboration with your child's teachers can make a significant difference in their academic and personal growth. One essential way to foster this collaboration is through parent-teacher conferences.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 3:30-7:30 p.m., and Thursday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to discuss your student's progress and connect with their teachers. More details will be shared via email in the coming weeks, and keep an eye out for additional information in the October newsletter!

Also, please consider supporting Timberland by stocking the teacher's lounge by donating snacks from Amazon here. This is a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation for our teachers. During the long days of parent-teacher conferences, having quick snacks and drinks available gives our staff the energy to stay focused and engaged with families. Your donation helps create a welcoming, supportive space for teachers, reminding them that our school community values the time and care they dedicate to our students.

THS Band & Guard to Perform in the London New Years Day Parade THS Band & Guard to Perform in the London New Years Day Parade

We are overjoyed to announce that our Timberland band and color guard were invited to perform in the "Greatest Parade in the Greatest City in the World" – the New Years Day parade on January 1, 2028 in London, England! Several representatives from London, including the grandson of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, visited Timberland on the evening of Monday, September 14 for this big announcement.

This is an unbelievable, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and is a direct result of our students' extraordinary talent, discipline, and early morning and late-night hard work. Our school community couldn't possibly be prouder of these incredible students and our dedicated directors, including Timberland band teachers Mrs. Courtney White and Mr. Matthew Fay-Silver. We can't wait to watch our Marching Wolves represent our school, state, and country on January 1, 2028.

You can click here to view the photos – credit to Brynne Cramer, WSD's Chief Communications Officer – from this announcement on Monday, September 14, and watch one news segment. A segment about this event will also be airing on Fox 2 News, so stay tuned for that!

In coordination with neighboring St. Charles County districts, starting August 2026, WSD implemented new bag guidelines to help enhance safety and security at ticketed high school athletic events.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR STOPFINDER APP EXPERIENCE

Is your student a bus rider? Stopfinder is the WSD transportation app for bus-riding families. It provides families with convenient access to their student’s transportation information and is the district’s primary source for transportation notifications. Read about the Stopfinder app and how it can work for you by turning on notifications, which are not automatically set up, or sharing access to route information with caregivers.
