Calendar Survey

On Wednesday, September 20th, Dr. Gallt sent an email with a survey link asking for stakeholder feedback on behalf of the district calendar committee. The committee sets dates for the school calendar including start-of-year, end-of-year, holidays beyond those required at the federal or state level, institute days, and more. Last year the committee developed a number of questions that we have used as the basis for a survey, and we would like your feedback to further inform our decision-making for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. Please note that when building a school calendar there are several competing interests and not all options may be viable together - at the end of the survey there is an opportunity to rank questions which will help us prioritize.

Please look for Dr. Gallt’s email and respond to the survey before October 13th. Thank you!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Elementary parent teacher conferences will be held on Thursday November 16th and Monday November 20th. Elementary conferences will be held in-person, there will be no video option available.

  • 11/20 – 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM (in-person)

Elementary conferences will be scheduled using Meet the Teacher, the District’s conference scheduling system. On Monday, October 16th, each guardian will receive an invitation to sign up for a conference with their student’s teachers, including a unique login code for Lake Zurich’s Meet the Teacher portal. Red Ribbon Week

This year, we will be continuing our efforts to support students in making safe, healthy choices - including choices related to substance use. As part of these efforts, we will be participating in Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 23rd. Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign to raise awareness related to substance use issues; parents can find more information about activities for the week HERE.

New Double Entry at Front Entrance

As you know, student, staff, and community safety continues to be a top priority for the District - and we are continually looking for additional opportunities for improvement in this area. As part of these efforts, we will be implementing a double-entry system at our building starting during the week of October 16th; for more information on the system and how to utilize it, please refer to the resource document HERE.
