Principal's Message
Dear Allenwood Elementary School Families,
I want to thank our families for doing such a great job using Pick Up Patrol to communicate changes to student dismissal. Your cooperation has helped ensure that our dismissal process runs smoothly and safely for all students.
Please note that while Pick Up Patrol is the correct tool for dismissal changes, reporting a student absence should still be communicated directly to the main office via a phone call or email. This helps us keep accurate attendance records and respond promptly when needed.
We are also excited to share that the Kids Heart Challenge is currently underway! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about heart health while supporting an important cause. Thank you for your enthusiasm and participation.
Here are a few important upcoming dates to keep in mind:
Monday, February 16: School will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Thursday, February 26: Our 1st grade students will be attending a class trip to the OCC Planetarium. More details will be shared by classroom teachers.
March 2-6: Read Across America at Allenwood. See below for additional information.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the main office if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
James Sterenczak
