Halloween
Our Halloween parties and parade are back on Monday, October 31st! We are planning for the Halloween Parade to begin at 1:00pm. For the safety and well-being of every student, please select kid-friendly costumes that do not have masks or weapons. Masks present a safety hazard as they limit visibility; and many students across all grade levels find masks frightening. Weapon replicas will not be allowed. Students should bring their costumes to school in a bag or backpack.
Parents are invited on campus to view the outdoor parade. If it is raining, students will parade inside the building. Parents would not be able to come into the building to view the indoor parade.
Please know only PTO room parents and classroom party volunteers may attend classroom parties. All room parents and volunteers must enter and exit the building through the main office and present a driver's license or state ID before receiving a visitor's pass.
To ensure a safe and orderly dismissal on this very busy day, we ask that children take their normal mode of transportation home. Parent volunteers are encouraged to carpool, as parking is limited. Thank you in advance for your support in making this year’s Halloween party fun for everyone!

To view and select your photo, look for an email sent to you by “Visual Image Photography”, or go to vipis.com to search for your gallery. (A student ID number may be required.) If you have any questions or cannot find your images, please contact VIP at support@vipis.com.
*If you have not yet taken a photo or need a new one, your Retake/Make up Day is on 10/26/2022, 8:00-11:00am. Lanyard Replacements
Student lanyards are an important part of the school’s operations from student safety to meal purchases each day. Please help your students keep track of their lanyards as we do expect students to wear their lanyards every day. If a student forgets their lanyard at home, temporary identification will be issued for the day. If the lanyard is actually lost, we will issue a replacement; however, if there are repeated lost lanyards for the same student we will then charge a $5 replacement fee. Thank you in advance for your support as we continue to improve our operational practices.
Elementary School Conferences
Parent teacher conferences for Spencer Loomis will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday, November 21st from 4pm to 7pm. We are excited to welcome you to Spencer Loomis and look forward to meeting in-person. While it is preferable to conference with our parents in person, a virtual option remains available.
- Parents and Guardians wishing to utilize the remote option should sign up for time via Sign-Up Genius and then email the classroom teacher to request that your conference be held via Zoom. Links will be provided by the teacher.
- Parents and Guardians who elect to meet in-person should sign up via the class Sign-Up Genius and will need to arrive at the meeting at least 5 minutes prior to the time the meeting is scheduled.
Please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher should you have any questions or concerns regarding the scheduling of parent/teacher conferences.
