We are proud to announce that College Park Student Council has been recognized by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) for outstanding achievement in leadership, service, and dedication to improving both our school and community.

College Park earned distinction as an Outstanding Student Council, along with top honors in the areas of Drugs, Alcohol, Safety and Health (DASH), Pride and Patriotism, and Energy and Environment. In addition, our council was recognized for the submission of an exemplary Community Service Report.

These achievements have also earned College Park the prestigious designation of a TASC Sweepstakes Council—an honor reserved for student councils that receive Outstanding Student Council recognition and excel in all three major project areas while submitting a Community Service Report.

With over 1,100 member schools across Texas, only 278 student councils statewide received this highly esteemed honor. This recognition reflects the hard work, leadership, and commitment of our students to making a meaningful impact.

Congratulations to our incredible Student Council for representing College Park with excellence!

We are incredibly proud to share some exciting news with our Cavalier community! The College Park Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago this coming December.

To say this is a tremendous honor would be an understatement. This marks the first time since 2012 that a Wind Ensemble from Conroe ISD has been selected to perform as a featured ensemble at this nationally recognized event.

This invitation comes after a highly competitive audition process, where our students submitted an 18-minute audio and video performance earlier this spring. Each year, only 4–6 high school ensembles from across the entire country are chosen—placing our students among the very best.

The Midwest Clinic is one of the most respected music conferences in the world, bringing together over 18,000 attendees, including top conductors, educators, composers, and performers. While there, our students will:

  • Perform a featured concert representing College Park and our community
  • Prepare an advanced hour-long program alongside their marching season commitments
  • Engage with living composers and perform their works
  • Learn directly from and interact with some of the nation’s leading music educators and conductors

This is an extraordinary opportunity for our students to grow as musicians and ambassadors of our school.

Please join us in congratulating the College Park Wind Ensemble on this outstanding achievement. We are excited to see them represent our school and community on a national stage.

  • Prepare a challenging, hour-long concert program alongside their regular performance commitments
  • Collaborate with and perform music by living composers

Cavalier Compass is a weekly video from our school counseling team, shared with all students during their Wednesday advisory. Its purpose is to provide resources, encouragement, and real-life skills that support students both in and out of the classroom. Topics range from study habits and course planning to mental health awareness, healthy lifestyles, and digital citizenship. Our goal is to connect with students in a fun, positive way while giving them tools to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

If you have any questions about Cavalier Compass, please reach out to our lead counselor, Kasey Lucas (kllucas@conroeisd.net).

Our 24-25 attendance rate was: 94.8%. Our goal for 25-26 is 98%!

CPHS wants All Cavaliers to Achieve. A large part of student success is related to student attendance. We want to teach our Cavs all we can in the days that we have with them. Please encourage your student to attend every period to gain the knowledge they need to be successful. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office or see the new Student Absence Reporting App information below. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed. We would also like to remind you that your child will be at risk of losing credit and parents/guardians may have to go to court due to attendance.
