Welcome - "Color the World with Kindness"
Dear Families,
Welcome to an exciting new school year at St. Clairsville Elementary! As we kick off this year, we are embracing the theme: “Color the World with Kindness.” Just as a splash of color can brighten a canvas, even the smallest acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day and create a ripple effect throughout our school and community.
Our staff is eager to partner with you in creating a positive, caring environment where every child feels valued and supported. Together, we can help our students grow not only in knowledge, but also in compassion and empathy.
We look forward to celebrating learning, building friendships, and filling our hallways with kindness, one action at a time. Thank you for sharing your children with us — it is an honor to work alongside you in shaping their journey.
Here’s to a colorful, kind, and successful school year ahead!
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Amber Galloway
Elementary Principal
#1: Stay in the Loop
New Updates in the Cafeteria
- We are pleased to welcome students with a newly updated cafeteria. School pride is evident as our colors have changed form the 80's green to our red, gray, and white. Students' faces are part of our design, as well as new equipment, like a kid-friendly serving table, new steam table, and freezer in our cafeteria. In addition, we updated our stage area with new curtains, speakers and projector system. We are thrilled with the updates and can't wait for you to see them firsthand!
Character Counts
Have a conversation with your child(ren) about our Character Counts/PBIS program. Mrs. Gallagher, our amazing guidance counselor, is pushing into classrooms to teach students beyond academics. Character building is a strong foundational skill that our students have the opportunity to engage in on campus. Ask your child about punchcards and ways they are getting rewarded in the classroom for portraying the character counts pillars.
#2 PTA Updates
September Updates - Welcome Back
PTA Updates:
Welcome back! We’re thrilled to kick off another amazing school year with our wonderful St. C families! As we enter our second year as a PTA, we want you to know—we’ve been listening. You spoke, and we heard you loud and clear: less is more when it comes to fundraising.
This year, our focus is on streamlining fundraising efforts to reduce the number of events and ease the burden on families. We've coordinated with most grade levels to take on their fundraising efforts under the PTA umbrella. This means fewer fundraisers overall, but with a bigger impact—and every dollar raised through PTA efforts will benefit all students, teachers, and staff throughout the school.
Here’s how your support will make a difference:
Field Trips: We aim to fund field trip opportunities for every student.
Classroom Needs: We’ll help provide supplies and resources for both teachers and students.
Specials Teachers: This year, we’re expanding support to our “specials” classrooms as well—like art, music, gym, and more.
PTA-sponsored fundraisers will be clearly marked with our official PTA logo on any flyers or handouts your child brings home. Please note: Kindergarten has chosen to maintain their own grade-specific fundraiser. In addition, Mrs. Galloway may initiate a few school-wide fundraisers to support the school’s capital improvement needs.
We’re kicking things off with an exciting new fundraiser:
🎉 The Fun Run Booster-thon!
More information below!
We’re also planning a Fall Craft & Vendor Show as a fun community event!
📍 Sunday, October 5th
🕛 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Rec Center
Enjoy shopping local vendors, grabbing tasty bites from food trucks, and indulging in sweet treats. We hope these two events will allow us to pause fundraising until after the holiday break.
Ongoing Ways to Support the PTA:
Spirit Friday Sales: These will continue weekly through the end of football season, with the potential to resume monthly (1st Friday of each month) after Christmas.
St. C Swag Shop (South Street Apparel)
Both of these initiatives serve as fundraisers for the PTA, and your support helps us do even more.
Want to get involved? Join us!
We’d love to see more volunteers this year! PTA membership is just a $5 annual donation, and must be renewed each school year. You can sign up by scanning this QR code:

We learned a lot last year and are excited to build on that success. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and involvement. Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead—we can’t wait to make it the best one yet!
Warmly,
Jaclyn West, President
St. Clairsville Elementary School PTA
Fundraising Efforts:
It’s time for our biggest (and newest!) fundraiser of the year — the Red Devil Fun Run!
We’re aiming to raise at least $10,000 to support field trips, equipment, and classroom supplies for all St. Clairsville Elementary students. And if we hit our goal, the PTA will purchase a brand-new piece of playground equipment for our elementary playground!
Why families love Booster:
Super easy fundraising through MyBooster.com
A fun, character-building adventure (“Star Quest 5”)
A fitness celebration where every student gets to participate!
But that’s not all…
Top-earning students can win awesome prizes like pie-ing a teacher or principal in the face or even being Principal for the Day!
Top parents will snag perks too — like perhaps preferred parking at pick-up
Getting started is simple: just share your student’s page with friends and family — every share makes a difference!
Donations can also be made by cash or check made payable to “St. C Elementary PTA”! Please send them to school in an envelope labeled with your student’s first and last name and homeroom teacher so both get proper credit.
Please note: the PTA Venmo account cannot be used for Fun Run donations, as this makes them extremely difficult to track.
Let’s work together to make this year’s Fun Run a huge success for our kids — and to add something AMAZING to our playground!
