Infinite Campus Annual Update
The Annual Update must be completed by ALL Chardon Local Schools households every year, for every student. WHY? We need your most accurate and up-to-date information so that...
- we can contact you in case of an emergency or other issue,
- you can quickly and conveniently pay for student meals and any school fees online;
- you can access important forms and documents, including report cards;
- your child may participate in field trips off school property;
- our nurses can be notified of pre-existing health conditions, allergies, and any other health concerns your child may have!
HOW DO I COMPLETE THE ANNUAL UPDATE?
Step 1: Log in to Infinite Campus.
Step 2: Click the menu toolbar on the upper left corner, and click More.
Step 3: Click Online Registration.
Step 4: Find Annual Update, and under "Action", click "Start."

It's National School Lunch Week! School lunch is about so much more than what's on your tray! Every day, school cafeterias help students fuel their brains, grow strong, try new foods, and enjoy time with their friends.
Did you know?
🥪 School lunch helps give your body the energy it needs to learn, play, and grow!
🥕 Trying a new food is a great way to discover something you might love!
🥦 Eating a variety of foods helps your body get the different nutrients it needs.
😁 Your lunch ladies work hard every day to prepare meals and help make lunchtime a happy part of your school day!
This week's lunchroom reminder: Be kind, say thank you, and remember that a little kindness can make someone's day!
We are so glad to be part of your day. Happy National School Lunch Week!

Nurses' Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
🍬 It's candy season!! While we all love to treat ourselves at this time of year (or anytime!), there are a few candies that are higher-risk for young children that you may wish to use extra caution with or avoid altogether.
- Hard candies and Lollipops (Jolly Ranchers, Life Savers, jawbreakers, butterscotch discs, Dum Dums, Blow Pops, etc.) - they do not dissolve quickly, are slippery when wet, and can easily slide into the throat if a child inhales deeply, laughs, or runs while sucking on them.
- Round or Spherical Candies (gumballs, malted milk balls like Whoppers, Skittles, M&Ms, peanut M&Ms, Lemonheads) - their shape perfectly conforms to a young child's windpipe, creating an airtight plug if accidentally swallowed whole.
- Sticky, Chewy, or Taffy-Like Sweets (caramels, Milk Duds, Laffy Taffy, Tootsie Rolls, Starburst, licorice bits) - they conform to the airway, making them extraordinarily difficult to dislodge using standard back blows or abdominal thrusts.
- Gummy & Gel Candies (gummy bears, gummy worms, fruit snacks, jelly beans, marshmallow candies) - they are slippery, hard to bite completely for young children with limited molars, and can expand or compress to block breathing passages.
We want everyone to be safe, stay healthy, and have lots of fun this fall!
Thank you!
