Dear BHMS Families,

We are incredibly proud of the focus and determination our students displayed throughout this week’s Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) testing. It has been inspiring to watch them rise to the challenge, demonstrating the grit and hard work they have put in all year long. While many of our students will finish their assessments tomorrow, our 8th graders will continue their testing journey next week on Monday and Tuesday. Given the brilliance and stamina we’ve seen so far, we have full confidence that they will finish strong. Please continue to support them by ensuring they get plenty of rest and a healthy breakfast to fuel their success. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in celebrating our scholars' achievements!

Warmly,

Alexis Glenn

Beacon Hill Named a State Math Leader School for the Second Consecutive Year!

We are thrilled to share that Beacon Hill Middle School has been officially recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as a 2024-2025 Math Leader School. This honor was celebrated with a special visit from State Superintendent Richard Woods and Dr. Whitaker, who presented Principal Alexis Glenn with a banner to commemorate the achievement.

This marks the second year in a row that our school has received this state-level recognition, underscoring a sustained culture of academic excellence within our mathematics program. For the 2024-2025 school year, Beacon Hill earned distinctions in three critical categories:

  • 6th Grade Growth

  • 8th Grade Gateway Growth

  • High School Achievement

This success is a direct result of the dedication and expertise of our incredible Math Department and the hard work of our students. Congratulations to our students, staff, and the entire Bulldog community for continuing to set the standard for excellence in Georgia!

Pep Rallies Roar Back to BHMS! Pep Rallies Roar Back to BHMS!

For the first time since before the pandemic, the halls of Beacon Hill Middle School echoed with a familiar, high-energy roar: Pep Rallies are officially back! Principal Alexis Glenn and the Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) successfully revived this cherished tradition with a series of high-octane, grade-level celebrations. The PAC works directly with Ms. Glenn to share ideas and perspectives, ensuring that student voice remains at the heart of our school culture. By advocating for the return of these events, the PAC has helped restore the sense of community and joy that defines the Bulldog spirit.

The energy in the gym was electric as students and staff engaged in some friendly competition. From "Musical Chairs" to the classic "Tug-of-War," the grade-level rallies showcased the incredible school spirit of our students. Not to be outdone, our faculty stepped up to the plate! The Staff vs. Student basketball shootouts were a crowd favorite, proving that our teachers still have some serious game.

A huge thank you to Ms. Glenn and the PAC for their visionary leadership. By bringing back these traditions, you have ensured that our students are not just achieving academically, but are truly celebrating and celebrated.

  • When: Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Who: This event is designed for adults only.
