If students arrive between 7:05-7:30 and they want to eat breakfast, they will go to the cafeteria.

Kindergarten & 1st grade will go to the gym.

2nd-5th grade will go to their team classrooms.

Students who arrive at 7:30 will go straight to class. Students who arrive after 7:35 will check in with the front office to get a tardy slip before going to class.

Dismissal: Please let your classroom teachers know how your child will be getting home from school. We will have bus riders, daycare students, car riders and walkers. Please download the app: https://www.pikmykid.com/ All students will be given a car tag number for times that they will be a car rider.

Walkers: Students walking must be independent walkers. Teachers will help walk students out of the building and get them across the street at the crosswalk. If parents are meeting your child to walk home with them please meet us at the cross walk to walk with your child. You will not need to walk up to the front door. We have two zones for student walkers. Please clarify which group your child should be walking with to the classroom teacher.

NEW OFFICE PROCEDURES NEW OFFICE PROCEDURES

When you are needing to drop off items for your student or checking a student out, we will follow these new procedures.

If your student is dropped off after the tardy bell at 7:35am, you will need to park your car and walk your student in and check them in in the front office.

How is your child getting home? How is your child getting home?

Be sure to let your child's teacher know how he or she is getting home from school. Bus - which bus? Car rider or walker? Daycare or YMCA?

Our Bus route numbers are: 06, 07, 23, 24, & 89.

Please contact Transportation to clarify the bus route your student(s) will be on.

During the year, any changes from the usual pickup routine need to be called to the front office by 1:00pm that day in order for us to notify your child's teacher in a timely manner. Please do not contact your teacher directly in case they don't have afternoon conference, have a sub that day, or happen to miss the message. Contacting the front office helps us make sure everyone involved with after school duty knows of the change.

LUNCH INFORMATION LUNCH INFORMATION

PARENT LUNCHES

Parents are able to come have lunch with their children on Mondays through Thursdays. To help us teach all the students our procedures first, we'll wait to start this until September 9th.

After the 9th, you're welcome to come have lunch with your child in the main hallway in front of the cafeteria. If you choose to come have lunch with your child, they can either buy their lunch or you can bring food - either way! We cannot have friends join in on the parent lunches.

BIRTHDAY CUPCAKES, TREATS BIRTHDAY CUPCAKES, TREATS

If you wish to bring cupcakes or other items to school to help your child celebrate a birthday, we can do that with a few restrictions to help us stay in compliance with food guidelines and allergy rules.

Items must be store bought with an ingredient label for our nurse to be able to check for allergies. We will deliver the food to their class, they can be dropped off at the office. Thank you for helping us stay in compliance!

Ruth Cherry Elementary Families!

We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Ruth Cherry Glow Run. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 for Student Incentives, Program for Gym, Recess Equipment to benefit ALL students at Ruth Cherry Elementary.

We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community: a user-friendly fundraising platform, a character enrichment program and a fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students.

As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!

Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character
