Digital Menus
The MSD of North Posey County partners with Opaa! Food Management as our food service provider. Along with this new food service comes digital menus! Check out the interactive website by clicking the link below. You can also download the app My School Menus for easy access on the go!
You'll find photos, descriptions, calorie counts, ingredient lists, and nutritional information on individual menu items. It also lets users filter for common food allergens like nuts, wheat, and dairy.
Lunch Money
There are a couple of ways to fund lunch accounts. Students can deposit cash or checks by completing a pre-stamped envelope available in the main office. Completed envelopes can be dropped in the deposit box at the front counter. Deposits can also be made via the parent portal of Harmony using debit or credit cards. There is a convenience charge with this option. Please allow 24 hours for the digital deposit to reflect the students lunch account balance.
Free and Reduced Applications
If you have questions about 2026-2027 Free and Reduced applications, please contact the district manager, Stacy Newman-Smith. She can be reached by email at snewman@northposey.k12.in.us or call main office at 812-673-4242 and choose option 5.
Attendance View
Reporting an Absence
In the event an absence is unavoidable, we have a few ways you can report your child absent.
- High School Website Homepage --- On red banner at the top of the page choose "REPORT AN ABSENCE"
- Text 812-985-8238 --- You can send a text to the attendance secretary, Lori Lingafelter, to report an absence. Please include your students name and the reason for the absence.
- Call 812-985-8238 ---- You can also call the attendance secretary, Lori Lingafelter, to report an absence.
Please allow 24 hours for attendance entries to be updated in Harmony before calling the office with questions about the absence view.
Attendance Policy
The policy allows for up to (5) five parent phone calls to excuse absences. Absences beyond five will be coded as unexcused UNLESS the proper documentation is on file. At the high school we have a 48 hour policy for documentation submissions to certify absences.
You can submit documentation one of the following ways:
- Text 812-985-8238 ----Text a photo or screenshot of the documentation that supports the absence to the attendance secretary's number at 812-985-8238. If you do not received a text confirmation from Mrs. Lingafelter verifying receipt of the note, it is your responsibility to follow up with a phone call to the same number.
- Email llingafelter@northposey.k12.in.us ---Email a photo or screenshot of the documentation that supports the absence to the attendance secretary's email address. If you do not received a reply confirmation from Mrs. Lingafelter verifying receipt of the note, it is your responsibility to follow up.
- Paper copy to HS office --- Submit a hardcopy to the high school office staff.
