It has been an amazing homecoming week here at THS. Through all the excitement and activities the school comes together displaying "Tiger Pride" creating an amazing atmosphere and buzz throughout the building. This afternoon the annual pep rally will be held to wrap things up. This week is one of the great traditions of THS and we hope to see you out supporting the Tigers this weekend.
Congratulations to Matt Hilterman as he shot an 81 to tie for second place at the Division 3 Central sectional event at Marlboro Country Club, qualifying them for the Division 3 State Championship; Hilterman becomes just the fourth player in Tyngsboro program history to reach the state tournament. On the field, Tyngsboro soccer earned a pair of shutouts against Maynard, with the girls team winning 2-0 thanks to two goals from Lexie Deschenes and five saves from goalkeeper Mia Dragoumanos, while the boys team secured a 3-0 victory. Field hockey battled back from a third-quarter deficit against Clinton to earn a 1-1 Mid-Wach tie, equalizer coming in the fourth quarter when Ava Perry converted a pass from Scarlett Beltz. Unfortunately, tonight's football game has been cancelled due to Quabbin being unable to field a team, citing safety concerns due to low numbers of available players. Tyngsboro will be receiving a forfeit victory.
