Attendance and Punctuality
This week's school attendance is 94.3%.
Whole school attendance so far this year is 95.1%.
Early Years/Key Stage 1 class of the week is 2M with 97.6% attendance!
Key Stage 2 class of the week is 5B with 99.3% attendance - well done!
We try to keep the 2 weeks holiday at this time of year to allow you to make the most of the second week. This is often cheaper to go away due to the majority of schools being back. Once more we ask you to please not take holidays in term time. We are unable to authorise these.

Sponsored walk challenges
Every day this week the pupils have been walking or running their miles (10 times around the sports field). We hope they have enjoyed this event - they definitely seemed to! Thank you to all pupils who have collected sponsorship for school. We will let you know how much pupils raised in due course.
In addition to this we of course had the staff 3 peaks challenge on Saturday. It was definitely a challenging day but we all enjoyed the event and raised some much needed funds for school. With cash donations as well, the staff challenge has raised over £2500. A huge thank you to Finley in Reception for awarding all staff who took part with medals - we really appreciated it.
We are pleased that the sponsored walk and staff challenge has inspired some of our pupils. Leo from Year 3 challenged himself to walk 24 miles in May outside of school. Currently he has walked over 30 miles and the month is not over yet!

Family Breakfast
Our first family breakfast, which took place on Tuesday, was a great success. We plan to hold one of these each half term so, if you didn't manage to get a spot this time, look out for next half term's date.
Sporting Update
It's been a very busy week in the Low Ash sporting calendar! On Tuesday a team of pupils took part in the Brownlee triathlon and we also had an U11 cricket tournament. This was followed by the Inclusion games at Blakehill Primary on Wednesday. All pupils should be very proud of themselves!
Safeguarding- Children's Weekly Question
Next week's question should you wish to discuss it at home is Who do you talk to in school about your worries?
Online Safety - Violent content online
As many as 70% of teenagers have seen violent content online and this is becoming every more common with primary aged pupils. We hope the attached guidance will help you to keep you child safe online.
We hope you all have a lovely break and we will see you on Monday 9th June.
