First late start of the school year
Beginning this year, we have added late start days to the district school calendar. The district’s first K-12 late start is Monday, September 12. Adjusted late start times are as follows (please note that preschool does not utilize late starts and will begin at normal times):
K-5: 9:05 a.m.
6-12: 9:40 a.m.

Our People
Kim Edwards has been the administrative assistant in the activities office at WGHS for 15 years. She started working for the district in 2007 and says what has changed most during that time is technology. As she said, "One thing that stands out is students used to line up outside our office to buy dance tickets and now they purchase them online."
Kim was nominated by Activities Director Jerry Collins who said, "this is her 15th school year with us and she is a wonderful person who is very good at her job and has great relationships with staff, students, and parents".
Kim says she "really enjoys the students coming into our office. Some like to keep their sports bags/equipment in here and some just pop in to say hello. Also, I have the best boss in the world and work with a ton of amazing coaches which makes working at Webster even more enjoyable!" She says the biggest challenge is getting the athletic buses here on time and said, "with the driver shortage it can be tough some days."

ACT and SAT Proctors and Hall Monitors Needed
Proctors and hall monitors are needed for ACT and SAT testing at the high school. Test Center staff members usually work 4-5 hours on various Saturdays to administer the test or supervise the hallways. SAT and ACT are similar in duration. As a room supervisor, you are responsible for the security of the test materials and testing center. Please fill out this form if you are interested.

The dates for ACT testing are: 10.22.22, 12.10.22, 2.11.23, 4.15.23, 6.10.23
The payment schedule is as follows:
Room Supervisor Compensation—Standard Time Testing
ACT Plus Writing: $134
ACT without Writing: $113
Proctor Compensation—Standard Time Testing
Writing Test: $105
No Writing: $90
SAT Information
The dates for SAT testing are: 10.3.22 and 6.3.23
The payment schedule is as follows:
Associate Supervisor Honorarium Schedule
Standard administration: $125
Room and Hall Proctor Honorarium
Standard administration: $100

Statesmen Sports Hall of Fame recipients selected
The next class of inductees to the Webster Groves High School Statesmen Sports Hall of Fame has been selected and will be honored at a banquet to be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Sheraton Westport Chalet in Westport.
The Statesmen Sports Hall of Fame will induct the 2002 WGHS State Championship Football Team during the 20th anniversary of their championship season. In addition, Coach Cliff Ice and six football alumni will be inducted.

The Annual Run for Webster
In addition, there is also a series of virtual 5k runs, with one starting from every WGSD school and a special Ivory Crockett Challenge 5k, starting from Ivory Crockett Park in historic North Webster. Registration for all activities begins on September 1st.
