November 2026 🦃
Dear Canyon View Families,
November is a wonderful time of year to pause, reflect, and appreciate the people and experiences that make our lives meaningful. As we begin the Thanksgiving and holiday season, we encourage our Canyon View families to spend time together, create lasting memories, and look for opportunities to show gratitude and kindness to others.
This is also a meaningful time to consider those who may be less fortunate in our community. There are many ways families can make a difference through service, donations, volunteering, or simply offering a kind word or helping hand. Small acts of kindness can have a tremendous impact, and we encourage our students to look for ways they can serve and support others both at school and in our community.
Better Together
Our Capturing Kids’ Hearts focus for the month of November is “Better Together.” This message is especially meaningful at Canyon View Middle School. We truly are better together when students, teachers, staff, families, and our community work collaboratively to support one another.
Honoring Our Veterans
On November 11, we will honor Veterans Day and recognize the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Throughout the month, many of our classes will participate in activities and discussions designed to help students understand the significance of Veterans Day and the sacrifices made by our American veterans.
We encourage families to take time to talk with your students about the importance of service, courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. There are also many opportunities throughout our community to learn more about and show appreciation for our veterans. A simple “thank you” can mean so much to those who have served our country.
As we move through November, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring school community. We are incredibly grateful to have your students at Canyon View Middle School. Their unique personalities, talents, ideas, and energy make our school a special place each day. We are equally grateful for the dedicated teachers and staff who work hard to provide meaningful learning experiences and support the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.
