Important Update: 2024 Total Solar Eclipse Safety Measures

As we prepare for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, we want to share some reminders and details to help ensure the safety and well-being of our students. With the influx of visitors expected in the DFW area, we have established the following safety measures in coordination with our Melissa ISD Police Department to maintain a secure learning environment for our students. Visit the following link for all the details: https://www.melissaisd.org/o/misd/article/1538580

With the Total Solar Eclipse approaching on April 8, 2024, we would like to share details outlining safety measures, educational opportunities, and answers to frequently asked questions. Our goal is to create a memorable learning experience for our Cardinals! We hope to provide an enriching learning experience for our students on this day. Students will be allowed to experience the eclipse in its totality briefly (when the sun is covered). Students whose parents have requested indoor viewing will remain indoors during the entirety of the eclipse. If you have any questions, please reach out to the campus or to your child's teacher.

Please don't forget to sign and complete the permission form for your child to attend Monkey See, Monkey Do. Forms are due April 12th. The event will take place on April 26th.
