Salem Families—We’re Going Places Together!
April at Salem Elementary
As we head into a new month, we’re reminded of something we all share as parents and educators—we want our children to be happy, safe, and successful. That deep love and care is the foundation for everything we do.
One of the most powerful ways we can support our children is by helping them become capable and confident. When children experience small challenges, they have opportunities to build resilience, problem solving skills, and confidence. These moments aren’t setbacks—they’re an important part of growing.
When we pause and support instead of immediately stepping in, we send a powerful message: “This is hard—and I believe in you.”
Together, as a school community, we can continue to support our children with both encouragement and opportunities to grow—helping them learn to face challenges and keep moving forward.
As we head into a busy and exciting April, here are a few important reminders:
- End of Year Testing Begins
Please help your child come to school rested, on time, and ready to do their best! - Attendance Challenge is Back!
Students can earn Star Bucks for being on time and staying all day—every day counts! - Spring Break: April 6–10
We hope you enjoy a fun and relaxing break with your families! - Teacher Appreciation Week: April 20–24
Join us in celebrating our amazing teachers who do so much for our students each day.
