💚Green Eggs & Ham 💚
“I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I Am!”
Celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday (March 2) with Green Eggs and Ham is a popular, festive tradition for schools and families, often aligning with Read Across America Day. The dish can be made using simple, natural, or fun methods to create a memorable breakfast or snack.
Green Eggs and Ham With Kale (or Spinach)
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 2 tablespoons onion roughly chopped
- 1 cup kale washed with big stems removed (you can also use spinach)
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- butter for frying
Optional Sides:
- ham
- whole-wheat biscuits see below for link to recipe
Instructions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender (including the salt and pepper) and blend until the greens are pureed into little bits.
Heat a big pat of butter (don’t be stingy!) in a frying pan over medium low heat.
Once the butter has melted pour the egg mixture into the warm pan. Let it sit for a couple minutes before you begin to stir and scramble with a spatula. Cook until eggs are done all the way through.
Serve warm with ham and biscuits
e-Funds & Funding Lunch Accounts
We are asking that all outstanding lunch balances be paid promptly to support our programs' finances. Funding lunch accounts can be paid through e~Funds:
Here are a few helpful hints to get started:
You will need your child's lunch/student ID number to make a payment.
You can still make payments at the main office during registration days, or at any lunch room cashier but setting up an account and paying in advance will save time and give you an opportunity to see a breakdown of your fees in advance.

How to Check your Student lunch account transactions
You can still make payments directly to a Food Service Cashier at any school cafeteria with cash or check, but setting up an account and paying in advance will save time and give you an opportunity to see a breakdown of your lunch activity in advance. I would like to encourage parents and caregivers to have conversations with your student/s regarding you and your families lunch and a la carte participation. As a school requirement we can not deny a student taking a hot lunch, note that any hot lunch taken by your student/s will be charged to their account.
