Erdenheim Elementary
“Home of the Spartans where we are Spartan Strong!”
Dear Erdenheim Families:
It's hard to believe it's officially fall! We want to thank you for your support as we near the end of a wonderful first month of school. Our students and staff have settled into routines, built positive relationships, and engaged in meaningful learning each day.
In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, please remember to check out all of the great resources for families provided in the Library Newsletter from Mrs. O"Donnell!
Lastly, next week teachers will be sending home information about WIN (What I Need) groups for each student. WIN groups are based on multiple academic data points and students are grouped based on their current level of need or enrichment. More information about WIN structure, groupings, and who to ask if you have questions will be included in the letter going home next week. WIN groups will begin on Monday, October 5th.
A few upcoming reminders:
The Scholastic Book Fair begins Monday, October 5th
Picture Day is Thursday, October 8th
We hope you have a fantastic weekend!
With Spartan PRIDE,
Mr. Speicher & Ms. Robinson

Smartwatch and Cell Phone Reminders
Elementary Smartwatch & Cell Phone Use: Ensuring smartwatch and cell phone use at the Elementary Level is only occurring outside of the instructional day. Students are not to wear or use these devices in school. We will expect them (if brought to school) to remain in their personal backpacks until after school hours.
Football at Recess
As we begin the school year, our staff is continuing to teach, practice, and reinforce shared expectations for a safe, respectful, and inclusive recess experience.
To support this work, football will not be available during recess for the month of September. This temporary pause will allow students and staff to focus on building strong routines, practicing positive sportsmanship, and ensuring that all students understand how to participate safely in recess activities.
We will revisit this decision at the end of September and communicate any updates with families. Thank you for your partnership as we work together to create a positive recess environment for all students.
Carline Reminders
For families dropping off and picking up students in the carline, please remember that cars must enter from Paper Mill Road and come down Springfield Way and turn left into our upper parking lot. This will help to prevent congestion at the entrance of the upper parking lot. We appreciate everyone's efforts to help us keep carline running smoothly.
