Principals Message
Panther Parents,
It has been an absolute pleasure serving our panther community this year! I hope you have a fun-filled summer filled with laughter and time spent with loved ones! This past year we embarked on so many new adventures and I would love to take the time to reflect back on all that we accomplished this year.
El Paso School Design Collaborative:
This year we were selected as one of eight schools within the El Paso region. We were selected to collaborate with CREED, Transcend, and El Paso Community Foundation to redesign our student experience. Based on our student data, we focused our work on positive affirmations and helping our students learn how to cope positively with stress. We used circles as a vehicle in our classrooms to practice our daily affirmations, teach and practice daily breathing and check ins. We also used this time to start teaching our students about brain regulation and dysregulation. As of late April we started incorporating weekly morning meetings to help start our morning off in a positive way together. Below you will find the video that we created to summarize our SDC experience.
Club Time:
This year we began the year with each student in 1st -5th grade choosing a club to attend once a week. This was to build community within the grade level with other adults on the campus. They were able to find a common ground in their interests and learn more about things there were interested in. Students had the opportunity to cook, learn a sport, build, learn about robotics, create crafts, and learn more about regulating themselves. In the last quarter we went all in and used our club time to provide extra academic support to ensure our panther are successful in meeting their academic goals.
2024-2025
We look forward to welcoming all our panthers back July 22nd. We will be sending you more information regarding Open House and when rosters will be available as we get closer to the beginning of the year. In order for you to be in the know I recommend you update your cellphone number in Skyward and download the classdojo app. This is how we communicate all events at CTW.
Wishing you a Great Day, The Panther Way!
Respectfully,
Daisy Garcia

Hello Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you for a great school year! Here are some final pieces of information for you to know:

This will be a GREAT opportunity for your child to receive additional support in the content areas of Reading and Math. If your child receives a permission slip, please ensure you sign and return it to their teacher. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
Cell Phone Policy
Hello parents, we understand and appreciate your right to provide a cell phone to your child, however, please note that per the Clint ISD Student Code of Conduct (page 15), the following offenses are prohibited at school or school related activities and may be result in disciplinary action.
Displaying, turning on, or using of telecommunication devices on school property during regular school day such as: cellular phones, pagers, beepers, stereo headsets, cassette players, CD players, Play Station Players, MP3s, I-Pods, cameras or any other electronic device.
Article will be confiscated from student.
If an item is confiscated, we will follow the Clint ISD Student Handbook (page 50).
If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated.
The parent/student has 30 calendar days from the day of confiscation to retrieve the device and pay a fee of $15 to the campus.
- Devices not claimed within 30 days will be destroyed.
Social Media Awareness
Nowadays, many students have a social media account of some type, whether it be TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, etc. While we know you, as parents, have the ultimate decision in granting them this permission, we just wanted to share some safety reminders and age limits for having accounts.
Sometimes kids don't always make the best choices when they decide to post on a site which could lead to potential problems such as:
cyberbullying
privacy & safety concerns
risks to their reputation
mental health issues
viewing of inappropriate or harmful content
time drain

Library News
ALL library books were due on May 3, 2024. Please look for any missing books and return them to the library as soon as possible.
As the end of the school year approaches, you may get notification that your child owes money for damaged chromebooks and/or a lost or damaged charger. I will start picking up chromebooks the week of May 13-17. You will be notified if your child owes money for a damaged device and the fee will be added to Skyward. Here are the current prices for all damages:
Please note that all chromebook fees (for damaged devices and the yearly usage fee) need to be PAID by May 22 in order for your child to participate in Field Day. We are asking that you log in to Skyward Family Access when you receive the paper notification about the cost to repair the device, and pay the fee online. It's always a good idea to print out your receipt or take a screenshot of the receipt, just in case. Please DO NOT send money to school with your child. If you are unable to pay the chromebook fees online, you will need to call the school to set up an appointment with Ms. Ayon. Thank you for your patience and understanding with this!
Please note that all lost library books will need to be returned or paid for by May 22 in order for your child to participate in Field Day. Library books can't be paid for online, so please either email (suzanne.ritchey@clint.net) or call the school to make arrangements with Mrs. Ritchey to take care of the book payment. Thank you!
