Principal's Message
Dear Lodi High School Families,
I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend and spending time with family and friends.
As a reminder, when we return, we will begin Homecoming Week at Lodi High School! We look forward to a great week of school spirit, activities, and celebrating our Lodi High community.
Marking Period 1 Progress
As part of our commitment to keeping families informed, I am sharing our Marking Period 1 (MP1) Progress Update, including schoolwide academic and attendance data. MP1 is an early progress point, not a final semester outcome. There is still time for students to build on their successes, address areas of concern, and improve. See link: Marking Period 1 at LHS
I encourage families to review their student’s grades and attendance through the Aeries Parent Portal and have a conversation with their student about their current progress.

As you review your student’s progress together, ask:
Where are you now? Where do you want to finish? What do you need to do next to get there?
Online Data Confirmation
Thank you to the many families who have already completed Online Data Confirmation. Our goal remains 100% completion by September 15.
If you have not completed the process, please log in to the Aeries Parent Portal, follow the pink notification banner, and select “Finish and Submit.”
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students. Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing our students back for a great Homecoming Week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jesús Marrón

Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance is essential to student success. Families are encouraged to help ensure that students arrive on time each day, attend every class, and come prepared to learn.
Student Identification Cards
For safety and identification purposes, all students are required to wear their school-issued identification card on their lanyard while on campus. Student IDs must be visible and should not be kept in a backpack, pocket, or phone case. We appreciate the support of our families in reinforcing this expectation with their students.
Dual Enrollment Opportunities
Lodi Unified School District offers Dual Enrollment opportunities that allow eligible high school students to take college-level courses and earn college credit while completing their high school education. Dual Enrollment provides students with an opportunity to experience college-level coursework, explore academic and career pathways, and begin earning college credits before graduation. Students and families interested in learning more about Dual Enrollment opportunities are encouraged to connect with their school counselor for additional information regarding available courses, eligibility, and enrollment. E-Bike and Scooter Safety
If your child is riding an E-Bike or scooter to school, please review the following information provided to Lodi USD by law enforcement to ensure that your child is following regulations and is riding with safety.
- E-Bikes - There are three classifications of e-bikes. All e-bikes must have an electric motor of less than 750 watts.
- Class 1 and 2: These e-bikes are similar to regular bicycles. They can be identified as pedal assisted with an electric motor that reaches a maximum speed of 20mph. Class 1 and 2 riders must wear a helmet while riding and adhere to the same regulations as regular bicycles.
- Class 3: These e-bikes are pedal assisted with an electric motor that ceases to provide power at 28mph. These e-bikes have age restrictions, riders must be 16 years or older, and must be wearing a helmet at all times when riding.
- Motorized Scooters - Motorized scooters are two-wheeled devices with a floorboard or seat, and are powered by an electric motor.
- Riders of motorized scooters must be 16 years of age or older, and must have a valid driver's license or learner's permit to legally ride. Riders must also wear a helmet.
Please help us keep students safe by ensuring these regulations are followed. Thank you!
Google Classroom Guardian Emails (K-12)
📣 Google Classroom Guardian Emails Now Synced with Aeries
You may have already noticed—guardian email invitations in Google Classroom are now automatically synced with the Aeries database.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Only guardians listed as Educational Rights Holders in Aeries are invited to receive weekly email summaries from Google Classroom.
- Manual guardian entries are no longer allowed. The list is fully controlled by the Aeries sync and updates nightly.
- If a guardian isn’t receiving the invitation, please direct them to contact the school office to update their information in Aeries.
- Guardians who wish to stop receiving emails can simply delete the invitation.
Please do not advise them to click “unsubscribe,” as that will not stop Google from resending the invitation. - Guardian summaries include:
- Missing work
- Upcoming work
- Recent announcements, assignments, and questions
- A preview link to Google Classroom
- Note: Grades, comments, and student attachments are not included.
