Classroom Pictures
Cumbia
Students engaged in a cultural and language-based lesson. We explored the genre of cumbia, a style of music with roots in Colombia that has spread throughout Latin America, especially Mexico and Panama. Students learned about the artist behind the song, contextualized new vocabulary in Spanish, and then practiced the basic dance steps of la cumbia together. Music and movement are always a fun way to bring language and culture to life.
Chemistry
Stick Together Poster
The puzzle was purchased by our school Book Club, but the “Stick Together” poster was meant to give kids a fun reason to visit the library, feel part of something colorful, and work toward a shared goal. It’s open to everyone in the school—add a sticker, help reveal the picture, and enjoy the process together! I always tell kids that libraries are more than books—they’re places to build community and have fun while you’re at it.
Project Success
As part of their section on Self-image and Self-improvement and in recognition of Suicide Awareness week, the 8th grade Project Success class completed positive affirmation posters which were hung up around the school-Danielle Myers

September 15-19, 2025 was Homecoming Week. We had a great Homecoming with several different activities for all of our students, great sporting events and terrific weather. A special thanks to our school board members for doing all of the cooking for the school feed on Thursday. Also a big thanks to everyone who contributed and sponsored the meal.
Spanish Buddies
This year our high school Spanish students are teaming up with K–4 classes for a program called Spanish Buddies! Once a month, Mrs. Morgan's classes will visit the elementary school to teach Spanish.
This helps high schoolers grow by teaching what they’ve learned, while also giving younger students a fun introduction to Spanish. The best part is the positive connections made between the older and younger students.
