We are now in the home stretch of reaching the end of the year. There are only a few weeks left, and we will be able to close out the year with the graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2025 and final exams for the rest of the student body.

One of the most difficult things about spring for schools is that we also have to have an eye on next year and the plans we need to have in place. It’s hard not to lose focus on the here and now when we also have responsibilities for things happening in the future. Next week, I will send out a separate message with a video to address the impacts that cuts in funding specifically will have on our academic planning. I want to make sure everyone is aware of some different expectations we all need to be prepared for that will both be opportunities and challenges.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend. There are lots of exciting things happening this time of year, especially for the parents of our Class of 2025 Seniors!

SENIORS: Don't forget to check out the Senior Scoop section in this newsletter. Lots of information and a link to our Graduation newsletter which has all of the details for the Senior Parade through the Graduation Ceremony on May 16th!

Have a great weekend!

AP Testing Volunteers

It is that time of year again -- AP testing is right around the corner and we could use some help! We need Hall Monitors because our testing groups are so large! (Way to go Coyotes!) It is important that we have a certain number of adults here to help the testers have their best experience. The only qualification is that you cannot be a hall monitor if you have a student in the exam room.

We hosted an amazing after prom event on April 11 that was attended by over 350 students. Over 80 parent volunteers worked together to set up, staff and clean up, and many more donated prizes and decorations. Please read our complete thank you letter here and look at event photos here.

We always need more parents to help so if you’re interested in joining us next year, please email monarchafterprom@gmail.com.

SENIORS! Are you thinking about paying for college?

We know many of you are applying to college, and part of that process is figuring out how to pay for it!

The first step is filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

The FAFSA has undergone some big changes in the last couple years causing some confusion.

Here is an article about the FAFSA and when you should apply.
