Mr. Macken's Message
Centerville Families,
Happy New Year! We are officially back in the swing of things, even if the icy roads forced us to "slide" into our routine a few hours late this week! Despite the delay, it has been wonderful to see the excitement and energy our students brought back with them. The joy on their faces as they reconnected with teachers and friends was priceless.
I also want to send a huge thank you for your generosity in donating prizes for our Winter Bingo event. It was a massive success! All 600+ students played simultaneously from their classrooms via Google Meet. You could actually hear the cheers echoing down the hallways when classmates won! It was truly special to see students happily heading to the cafeteria to pick from the many donated prizes.
Looking ahead, we are kicking off our winter Fastbridge testing over the next couple of weeks. These assessments are a great tool to help us see how much your child has grown and set short-term goals for the rest of the year. Teachers will share these results with you during our February conferences, so please keep an eye out for registration opening on Friday, January 23.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Together, we are making this a fantastic year for our students!
Go Cougars!
Mr. Macken
