Peterson's Message- K3 Director

Greetings MCP3 Team!

The next couple weeks are going to be busy weeks! We have a lot of fun and exciting things happening, which can increase our scholars' wiggles. Let's remember to continue to be clear in our expectations and directions, maintain our consistent RAPs and following our schedule! Be sure to prepare scholars with the new events or upcoming changes in advance- change out the schedule to reflect the change, or add an image to your calendar to discuss daily for these fun events. This will help to settle the nerves and support all of our scholars with the exciting things and changes.

Supervision in Rauh Room

Reminder of expectations in the Rauh Room so that ALL scholars are safe. ALL staff need to be actively monitoring and supervising scholars in the Rauh Room- this means eyes constantly looking about and watching kids. Staff constantly intervening when needed or proactively redirecting when possible. Staff should be split up around the Rauh Room to ensure every area of the Rauh Room has an adult supervising.

Educator Effectiveness Project- Lead Teachers

We spent time on our September PD going through our Frontline accounts, completing the Self-Assessment and entered our SLO (Student Learning Objective). The rest of the Goal Setting plan needs to be completed by October 15 at 4:00 p.m. This is a UWM requirement, and the process takes time, so please plan ahead. I will be at the Lead Teacher Fab Collab to support with next steps, which involves writing the PPG (Professional Practice Goal).

Feel free to use this as a resource for PPG if needed: Goal Setting Plan Guide 2026-27 (slides 18-24)

  • Daily attendance will be our "innings" and will be tracked with a visual in the main foyer.
  • Daily homeroom average attendance will correlate to the number of "hits" your class earns as follows (80%=8 hits, 90%=9 hits, 100%= 10 hits).
  • Daily "hits" will be totaled each week to make your classroom team's score!
  • The class with the highest score at the end of the month will be our World Series Champions!

Operations Reminders & Updates W/ Ms. Perine

Meal Service Garbage and Returning Service Equipment

Please be mindful to throw away all trash from meal service into a garbage can (food wrappers, paper towels, foil from bin coverings, etc.) There has been trash that is being left on the carts and making its way back up to the kitchen and our kitchen staff should not be responsible for throwing away garbage from us. Let's be sure to send our service equipment back up to the kitchen in an orderly and trash free manner.

ClassDojo

We want to ensure we have 100% of families connected on Dojo! Here is where we are currently at:

  • Panthers- 95%
  • Tigers- 100%
  • Antelopes- 100%
  • Bulldogs- 100%
  • Golden Eagles- 100%

**Be sure to edit your class if you have scholars that are unenrolled and add students to your class when you get new scholars!

**Friday means it is time for your classroom dojo incentive! Scholars should be rewarded for their good behavior from the week. Remember- not everybody gets a cookie. So if scholars have not earned the prizes/incentives that's ok. They can try again next week. Be specific with which classroom expectation and rule they need to work on. If you need support with setting up your classroom dojo incentive please reach out!
