DFP Family Update

Dear Feeney Families,

Our school is bustling with activity - Mr. John, Mr. Leroy and Mr. Joe have been working tirelessly to make our building sparkle! They have been waxing floors, hanging bulletin boards, receiving the endless Amazon packages, and so much more. We are gratefor for all they do for us, they are an essential part of our team.

Teachers and staff have started to prepare their spaces as we approach the official return to school on August 25. There is some updated information contained below so please read carefully. We look forward to seeing you at our meet and greet on August 28.

Dear Preschool Families,

We are excited for you to join our learning community. Your child’s first day of Preschool is Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

We welcome you to our Preschool Meet and Greet on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

This brief visit is an opportunity for you and your child to see their classroom, meet the teachers and some classmates. You will also learn more about the structure of the day, arrival and dismissal procedures, and preschool expectations.

Please park in the Elm Street School parking lot and all families, please enter through the playground entrance, Door 12. We ask families to limit adults to 2 per child and if possible, please leave siblings at home.

You may bring updated physical forms and tuition payments and give them to your child’s teacher.

Please read carefully the arrival and dismissal document attached below. Our start time is 8:30 AM and Elm Street School's start time is 9:00 AM. Please make every effort to be at preschool on time to avoid the Elm Street School arrival time. If you are late, please park in one the parking spots in front of the DFP playground and walk your child into the main office of Elm Street School. We will close our doors shortly after 8:30 am in order to ensure a safe and orderly arrival for Elm Street School students.

You will receive information from our Health Office in the coming weeks. If your child has an epi-pen or other prescription medication to be administered at school, please be sure it is in the originial packaging with a prescription label on it. Please refer to all information provided by our nurse, Tina DiCicco. Thank you.

Please join us on our playhtround for our Popsicles at Preschool event on Thursday, September 11 at 5 pm. It is a fun way to kick off the new school year and meet other Feeney families. Bring the whole family, we hope to see you then.

DFP picture day is on October 9. You will receive more information including how to order pictures, in mid-September.
