Weekly Update
March 20, 2026
From the Principal
Happy Spring!
Although we have had many different seasons with this week's weather, it is officially spring! That means we will have many days of muddy grass ahead. When it is very wet and muddy, we will keep to the blacktop, but mostly we will try to be in the field and on the playground. Please know we do our best to keep the kids clean, but they will get dirty sometimes. If shoes are a specific issue for your child (like they have brand new white sneakers) an extra, older pair of sneakers or boots can be very helpful at this time of year. They can be kept with their coats and such here at school.
Last week was the end of the fourth quarter. Report cards were due today, but due to the large number of students with illnesses, some are not yet complete. I hope to release them today or tomorrow at the latest. Please know that we will catch up the rest as soon as possible.
Speaking of illnesses, we have had some nasty stuff running through the building. Some of the kids are experiencing high fevers and it is taking them out for a few days at a time. Please make sure that you are keeping kids home until they are fever free for at least 24 hours without medication. We are doing as much cleaning as we can, but it will keep going around if kids come back too early. One more week until spring break! Hopefully we can kick it for good by then!
Have a Great Weekend.
Mrs. Heitkamp
