Stewart families,

It was an amazing week of learning this past week at Stewart! Our students have been jumping right in! Our instructional day goes from 7:55 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Our morning announcements begin at 7:45 a.m. in order to begin class on time each day. Any student arriving after 7:55 a.m. will be counted tardy. Please remember, all transportation changes must be submitted by 1:30 p.m. to Bettzy Aguilar at betaguilar@conroeisd.net.

We look forward to seeing our families this week at Parent Information Night. Please see below for the specific date and time for your child's grade level.

Be sure to check out our PTO Auction that is going on right now! This is a wonderful way to support our school and win some fun items!

Please continue to read the Stampede each week for updates and information throughout the school year. Below you will find important information regarding attendance, electronic policy, dress code, safety, dates, and more. Scroll to the bottom of this newsletter for buttons you can click for quick information such as lunch menus, school calendar, etc.

Have a great week,

Dress Code:

Dress codes are established to teach grooming and hygiene, prevent disruptions, minimize safety hazards, and to maintain a positive learning environment. The District prohibits pictures, emblems, or writings on clothing that are any of the following: lewd, violent, suggestive, offensive, vulgar or obscene, or advertise or depict tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or any other substance prohibited under FNCF (LEGAL).

  1. Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be mid-thigh length. Some popular athletic wear does not meet this requirement.
  2. Students should be able to raise their arms without the midriff showing.
  3. Tank tops must be the width of three fingers.
  4. Halter tops, muscle shirts, and spaghetti strap tops are not permitted unless covered by another shirt.
  5. Jeans with rips or holes may be worn if the holes are below mid-thigh or covered with a patch.
  6. Students must wear closed toe shoes with a back. No Crocs or Slides as students attend P.E. daily.
  7. Undergarments should not be visible.
  8. Hair and hairstyles should not cause a distraction.
  9. Hats may ONLY be worn on designated days.
  10. Make-up should not be worn or applied at school.

Staff will monitor that students adhere to the dress code. If a student is out of dress code, a staff member will have a discussion with the student. The student's teacher will notify the child's parent. Students will be asked to change clothes. After multiple offenses, students will be seen by a school administrator and the parent contacted. A school consequence may be assigned.
