With Thanksgiving right around the corner, this is the perfect time of year to teach your child what being thankful truly means. Being thankful means appreciating the people and things around you and showing gratitude. Gratitude can increase happiness, teach empathy, and allow people to be thankful for everything they have. In two separate studies, it was shown that people who had more gratitude were significantly happier. If we can teach our children to be grateful and appreciative of what they have, they may lead happier lives.

Helping Hands is a great opportunity for our community to give back. Many of our families at SCMS need financial assistance as the holidays are approaching. These donations will help our families, our SCMS kids, have a better holiday.
The donations can be anonymous and the families receiving will be anonymous as well.
