Dear Families,

Spring, a time of renewal, a time of celebration, a time of planning. Those are the things that come to mind when I think of spring. Here in Alaska, I also recognize the beauty of rain during this time because it seems to wash all the weight of winter away.

How can this be applied to NLABC. This has been a year of celebration, so many wonderful things have happened. It is also a time of planning. With Alaska budget cuts looming and trying to navigate how that will affect NLABC, much work is happening.

What can you do to support us? I am asking you to reach out to our board. nlabcboard@gmail.com They are currently working on ways to share the school's needs of a guidance counselor, a full time nurse and to restore our teacher allocation to 25 teachers.

I also want to remind you that spring also seems to be the time that behaviors can escalate and focus is more difficult. Please remind your children that we will remain firm on our high expectations both academically and behaviorally.

Lastly, WELCOM SPRING! we are glad you are here.
