Design for Disaster - Trimester Class
Prior experience in a STEAM class is recommended, but not required. We will continue to integrate the engineering design process into several projects. We will take a hands-on approach to design and build using various materials and tools.
The focus will be to learn about maps and explore different natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Using the engineering design process, students will then test their builds against these replicated natural events. As a class, we will evaluate the builds and discuss how to optimize these designs.
Art - Trimester Class
Students in General Art will be introduced to a variety of media and techniques. We will experiment with two and three-dimensional art forms such as drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture.
