BULLDOG BULLETIN
January 17, 2025
Dear Bulldog Families,
I hope you all enjoyed a restful and joyous winter break with your loved ones. As we dive into the second half of the school year, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and the chance to continue growing together as a school community. Our first few days back consisted of students going through different stations, with a focus of reteaching what it looks like to be our Bulldog Best in various areas of the school. We used our common language and expectations of being kind, respectful, responsible, and safe to reinforce what it looks and sounds like to be our Bulldog Best. Students have been doing a wonderful job demonstrating expectations these past two weeks!
I’m excited to announce a new feature in our Bulldog Bulletin—our Student Spotlight! This new addition will give students from across the school the chance to team up and share their unique perspectives, stories, and creativity. Whether it’s a poem, a short story, an interview, or a shared experience, these submissions will help showcase the incredible talent and voices of our students. Our first Spotlight can be read below!
Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for Bingo Night on January 30! This year’s theme is CandyLand, and we’re looking forward to a sweet and exciting evening for families to connect and have fun together. Families can purchase a pizza dinner to enjoy while numbers are being called. Be sure to sign up soon!
Warm regards,
Dr. Colleen Conway

Student Spotlight!
The 3rd graders are ecstatic about getting their recorders in music class with Mr. H. They recently learned the notes A and B. They took home their finger charts and cleaning rods. The finger chart helps the third graders find where notes are located. Their first lesson’s goal was to make a quality sound on their recorder. A quality sound is a nice whistle that the recorder makes. The third graders learned how to put their left hand on four holes and their right hand on the bottom. They have to take care of their recorders in order to use them. They are so excited to learn more things about the recorders.

Safety Reminder
We kindly remind all parents and caregivers to please drive carefully and follow speed limits on school property and in the surrounding neighborhood. Many of our students walk, ride bikes, or use scooters to get to and from school, and their safety is our top priority.
Please be mindful of crosswalks, follow posted speed limits, and avoid distractions such as cell phones while driving. This is especially important during busy times before and after school. Together, we can ensure that everyone gets to school and home safely.
