Christmas Trip

We are so excited here at Swinefleet Primary School as we are going on a magical adventure for our Christmas Trip, on Thursday 20th November.

We have been lucky enough to be the first ever school to visit the Christmas Wonderland called ‘Santa’s Secret Forest’ which is near Liverpool. We know that when you look on their website you will agree the children will be so excited. This trip has been booked for all of the children, so if your child is in Nursery, and is not normally in on a Friday, please change their days or add an additional day onto their schedule, as we would not want them to miss out.

We realise that it will be a long journey for the children, but well worth it. We will be leaving here at approximately 8.50am, and are hoping to be back around 5.00pm.

Our wonderful FOSPS family have been busy fundraising and have generously volunteered to cover the costs of the transport, which I am sure you can understand is astronomical, and for which we are extremely grateful.

Permission can be given via the Arbor app under trips.

FOSPS are paying for the transport, and the school is heavily subsidising the trip. , We are asking for a contribution of £20.00 per child which I hope you can appreciate offers real value for money compared to the actual cost. This can be paid on Arbor under trips where permission will also need to be given.

They will need to be warmly dressed, with coat, hat, scarf and gloves with their names on as the start of the adventure is outdoors. We recommend Christmas jumpers and accessories of course and no school uniform.

Yes they will need a disposable packed lunch and drink with their names on.

If your child is still in nappies or early on in their toileting journey, then please send spare clothes etc as usual.

For those children in Little Pearls and Key Stage 1 we recommend bringing their car seat/booster for the coach. These can be dropped off when bringing your child in though please add a label with your child's name on.

No. We have already spoke to the elves and they have reassured us that the children will not return home empty handed as it is rumoured they will be seeing Santa himself!
