OCHS Principal's Update

As we begin to close out the school year, I want to sincerely thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education at OCHS. Our school is a truly special place—one built on high expectations, hard work, and a strong sense of joy and community.

In these past few weeks, we’ve started to experience many “lasts” with our seniors. It’s easy to overlook how meaningful these moments are as the pace of each school day moves so quickly, but they are worth pausing for. This past quarter, we’ve also focused on what it means to be UNSTOPPABLE at OCHS—a mindset our staff and students have embraced in inspiring ways.

To our senior parents, I encourage you to stay connected with our school community. You remain an important part of who we are at O-C, and your presence is important.

As summer approaches, I hope your days are filled with meaningful time together, creating memories and enjoying your children.

We will have a special schedule on May 7th

Due to the O-C Track Invite, on May 7th, all Jr.-Sr. High students will attend school until 12:30 p.m. At 12:30, all students that DO NOT meet the following criteria will be dismissed for the day: We are going to require any student that is failing a class, has missing assignments, or needs to make up attendance time to attend until normal dismissal at 3:40 p.m. P2T students will still be required to report to their P2T classes.

If your student is taking finals this spring, please make sure to reference the following schedule:

Monday, May 18th

8:10-9:20 a.m. Teacher Office Hours/Checkout with Coaches and Sponsors

9:20-10:20 a.m. 2nd Period

10:30-11:30 a.m. 4th Period

11:40 a.m.-12:40 p.m. 6th Period

12:40-1:20 p.m. Lunch

1:20 p.m.-2:20 p.m. 8th Period

2:20-3:40 p.m. Finish All Exams - Office Hours for All Staff, Checkout with Coaches/Sponsors

Buses will run at the normal time each day.

May 2 - O-C Golf Invite @ 9:00 a.m./Conference Track @ Stanton @ 9:00 a.m.

May 4 - Academic Awards Night at 7:00 p.m.

May 5 - 7th-12th Pops Concert at 7:00 p.m.

May 7 - HS Track Invite @ 1:30 p.m. - Jr.-Sr. High Track Day Schedule

May 8 - JH Conference Track @ Oakland-Craig @ 10:00 a.m.

May 9 - Graduation @ 2:00 p.m.

May 11 - Conference Golf @ Oakland Golf Club @ 9:00 a.m.

May 14 - District Track @ Norfolk Catholic

May 18 - Athletic Awards Night @ 7:00 p.m.
