GCPS is hosting a health and wellness family night on May 10th from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at the GHS stadium. This event will feature a color run, door prizes, bouncy houses & games, face painting, food trucks and more!

Students who attend the event will be entered into a raffle to win a prize!

Registration for the Goochland County Public Schools June intersession is now open until Friday, May 26! An intersession is an opt-in, multi-day learning experience that combines literacy, research, creativity, and fun with no cost to families. Each intersession will provide a unique learning opportunity that merges student interest and teacher passion. From Cooking with STEM to Game Design, students will have the chance to explore a wide range of topics.

Intersession will run Tuesday-Friday, June 20-23 from 8:00 - 2:30 at Goochland Elementary School (elementary sessions) and 9:00 - 3:30 at the Secondary Complex (secondary sessions). GCPS will provide student transportation to and from designated stops across the county at no cost and breakfast and lunch for purchase. Transportation will only be provided at the beginning and end of a full day of intersessions. Students attending a half day intersession will need to make arrangements for mid-day transportation.

Registration is based on the student’s current grade level (2022-23 school year). Please understand that availability of these sessions is contingent on enrollment numbers. Sessions may not be offered if enrollment is low, so we encourage all to register soon! In the event that a course reaches student capacity, students will be added to a waitlist automatically.

Goochland Middle School Presents: Rising 6th Family Night! Current 5th-grade families are invited to join the GMS counseling and admin team to learn more about life in middle school Wednesday, May 24TH, 2023 from 6:00-7:30.

In collaboration with Goochland County Public Schools, the Goochland YMCA is looking forward to offering Free English language and technology education to help English language learners improve all aspects of their English proficiency, become more engaged in their communities, and be more involved in their family’s education.

Spring Session 2023

Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 9, 11, 16, and 18 from 6-7:30pm

An evaluation to assess learning needs and fun conversational activities to build trust and relationships will be implemented during this time. Childcare will be provided for children ages 6 months to 5 years old and homework assistance and fun activities provided for children ages 6 and up.
