Dear School Community,
I am pleased to announce that, starting next week, we will be launching a new project to complete a Comprehensive Needs Assessment of our school.
To help us explore our strengths and better understand the barriers that challenge our ability to improve, we will engage in a process to gather and analyze perspectives, data, and information in alignment with the Four Domains for Rapid School Improvement. The Comprehensive Needs Assessment process is a needs assessment that will provide our school community with data to develop a comprehensive plan for improvement.
To support this work, leadership has continued our partnership with WestEd, a nonpartisan, nonprofit research and service organization with deep experience in strengthening schools nationwide. As external facilitators, WestEd will collaborate with us to gather information, analyze emerging trends, and share findings that will inform and guide our school improvement planning efforts.
I am excited to get started in this process so that we can have a better understanding of the root causes of our challenges and will be more fully prepared to develop an improvement plan designed to leverage our strengths and enhance positive outcomes for our students.
