The Fourteenth Annual Grassland Games are coming and will be held Wednesday, October 28, from 3:15-6:15 p.m.! (Eighth grade will end at 6:30 p.m.) This is a fundraiser for our Positive Behavior Program and provides invaluable funds for our weekly STARbuck drawings, PBIS Celebrations, and end-of-the-year prizes at Spring Fling.
TICKETS:
Tickets are now on sale at SchoolCash Online (check your inbox for link) and are $25 per student until October 25 and $30 from October 26 to day of. Tickets can be purchased online until October 27 at midnight and day of with cash or check in the gym before the event starts. Students will be given a wristband the day of the event to show proof of admission.
TEAMS:
1. Students have the option to be on a team to compete for Team prizes at the event. They do NOT have to be on a team and can still participate in all the games.
2. If your students want to be on a team, they must buy a Grassland Games ticket and then fill out the attached form. Bring the completed form and the team registration fee of $10 to the office by the end of the day on Monday, October 26. Please note that once a team form is turned in, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE. Please lock those down prior to submitting the form.
3. Max number of students on a team is 10, but teams can have less than that if they choose. Teams with less than 5 people may be combined with other teams. This is only to earn points, and in no way means they must participate with the other newly added members.
4. Students will choose a team name when they register, and we encourage them to coordinate “uniforms” for extra team points (dress code applies, but hats may be worn). ***Our theme is Red, White, and Blue in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Teams who dress according to the theme can earn extra team points. Student wristbands will be printed with their team’s name and given to them on the day prior to the event.
5. Examples of team prizes: Sonic gift cards, candy, a medal, passes for different school perks, coupons for free items at Sonic, and more!
6. We also have a Team Sportsmanship Prize.
DRAWINGS:
We will have a variety of prizes available for students to win. Each Grassland Games ticket will come with a free Drawing Ticket students can use to enter for the prize of their choice. Extra Drawing Tickets will be available for purchase on School Cash Online: 1 for $3, 5 for $10, 15 for $20. All Drawing Tickets will be given to students on the day of the event.
VOLUNTEERING:

We will be looking for items like candy, drinks, gift cards, game items, and more. ESPECIALLY NEEDED: Candy, Gatorade, Sonic Gift Cards! This event would not work without the amazing families we have here at GMS. We love celebrating the great things our students do, and this one event allows us to do that for the entire year.
