Happy New Year, FamiLEE! We hope that 2025 will bring you much success, happiness, and joy!! We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday season. We are looking forward to a positive and productive second semester.

We have many important things coming up this week! All 9th-11th graders will be taking a Mock ACT on Thursday and it is very important that all students be here on time (8:30am). We also have a home basketball game vs. Buckhorn on Tuesday.

As we start the spring semester, I want to emphasize the importance of all students being here each day and on time. Good attendance is essential for achievement in school and we need your child here as much as possible so that we can move forward as a school community. When your child misses school for any reason, please send excuse notes to LHS.Attendance@hsv-k12.org.

Below is our current attendance rate. We have a goal of 95% this year. Please help us reach this goal by ensuring your child is here every day. If you child has to be out, please send excuses. The NEW attendance email address is LHS.attendance@hsv-k12.org.

• The HCS Career and Technical Education (CTE) application is open through January 17, 2025. The application is for current 9th-11th grade HCS students who wish to attend a CTE travel program during the 2025-2026 school year. Students and families will need to log in with the student's HCS/Clever email accounts to be able to access the CTE Application. For any application-related questions, please reach out to the CTE Counselor for help.
