BEWARE of Phishing Scams

Phishing is a type of online scam where criminals impersonate organizations or people you may be familiar with (such as PUSD or known teachers/staff members) via email, text message, advertisement or other means in order to steal sensitive information. These emails often have subject lines related to student internships or job opportunities.

Please DO NOT click on any links or fill out any forms within emails that come from people you do not know. If you receive an email with links or forms from someone you do know, please reach out to them personally to see if it's a legitimate email.

If you do click on a link from someone that seems suspicious, please reset your password immediately (directions below). If you need support with resetting your password, please call the Help Desk at 626-396-3699.

Please remember:

  • District staff will never ask for your account passwords and you should never share this information with anyone else.
  • Always check the email address or phone number associated with the sender
  • Mind any warnings coming from the mail system
  • When in doubt, check with the person who supposedly sent the email or text
  • Do not share banking or personal information.
