Mrs. Viña's Message
Glenwood Parents and Students
Thank you to all for your hard work in getting to school each day. Each week all schools get their Average Daily Attendance report for the year up to date. Our goal is 96% and for the first time since August of 2025 we were over 96% for the last two reports. We know we are headed into cold and flu season and if your student is sick, we want them to stay home and get well but if they are just tired, get them up and moving and to school. Missing school is unavoidable when sick, but if they aren't running a fever, or have a sore throat or experiencing stomach issues, get them to school, so they don't get overwhelmed with makeup work.
Be sure to mark next Friday, October 2 as a no school day. School will resume October 5.
Don't forget that October 12 - October 16 is parent conference week and is early dismissal for all grades at 12:35.
A huge thank you to all families for the kindness and respect you showed to the JC Penney's employees and the Assistance League at the shopping night. We are so thankful to the Assistance League for their generous donation.
Mrs. Vina

Glenwood Parents/Guardians:
Your child is attending a school receiving Title I federal funds through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Glenwood is one of seven Title I schools in the district and at the beginning of each school year, local educational agencies receiving Title I funds are required to notify parents whose student(s) attend a Title I school that they may request, and the agency will provide the parents on request (and in a timely manner), information regarding the professional qualifications of the student's classroom teachers, including at a minimum:
Whether the student's teacher:
Has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
Is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; and
Is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
If you would like this information, please contact Mrs. Viña by email at vvina@conejousd.org.
Please note that all Glenwood classroom teachers have the completed and required teaching credentials.
Sincerely,
Atentamente,
Sra. Viña, Directora de Glenwood

Important E-Bike Laws & Safety Information
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to address our youth and young adults' growing use of E-bikes, bicycles, and electric scooters. These vehicles can be useful in reducing traffic and allowing young people a means of transportation other than motor vehicles to school and other activities. However, we have seen recent increases in collisions involving our youth on e-bikes, bicycles, and scooters. The increased speed provided by E-bikes and electric scooters requires increased care in their use:
🛑 Traffic rules must be followed, and helmets must be worn at all times.
