WEATHER CHANGING!
COLD WEATHER GEAR
It is important that your child is prepared with recess gear to match the weather as we go outside for recess twice a day as temperatures permit.
Closed shoes or boots are required to play on the grass or playground.
Labeling your childβs gear with first and last names can help us return any lost items.

π Reminder About Pick-Up Safety & Parking Rules
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone is doing well! π We had a bit of a challenging pick-up lately at Hillcrest, so Iβd like to remind everyone of a few important guidelines to help keep things safe and smooth for all families:
π« Please do not park or drive on the opposite side of Vernon during pick-up.
βΏ Handicap spaces are reserved for vehicles with valid handicap permits only.
π Please avoid blocking driveways or parking in front of homes on Vernon.
Your cooperation helps keep our community safe and respectful π. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!
RECESS TIME!
πHello Parents,
Weβve been focusing on school expectations with our students these first few weeks π, and we could really use your support at home! π π¬
Many students are working hard to follow the rules β and make the most of their playtime, whether itβs lunch recess π or class recess π.
Please take a few minutes to chat with your child about our school expectations and recess rules π. Together, we can help them grow in the right direction π±β¨.
Weβre encouraging all students to:
π€ Be supportive
π Listen to their peers
π Show respect to others
π Pay attention to the adults supervising them
Thank you for partnering with us to help create a safe, respectful, and fun environment for everyone! π
Speech Services Update
We want to reassure families that if your child currently receives speech services at our school, those services will continue without interruption. While there is a staff change happening within our team, student support remains a priority, and services will be maintained through the district. Please note that details about staff transitions are confidential, and we appreciate your understanding.
πβ° Attendance Matters!
Being on time = More learning, less catching up!
Let's keep the day running smoothly and start on schedule. ππ

π½οΈ School Lunch Option for Students Who Bring Lunch from Home
Hillcrest Family,
If your child brings lunch from home but would also like a school lunch, they are welcome to get a tray!
They simply need to choose βschool lunchβ during the classroom lunch count and then get in the lunch line at school.
Thank you!
EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY CHIP SALE!
REVIEWING SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS:
Mrs. Saad visited every classroom this week π« to review our School Expectations with students π. As a follow-up, students were given a homework assignment π to take home the School Expectation Matrix and review it with their parents π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. This collaborative effort is all about teamwork π€ and helping our Huskies grow in the right direction πΎπ!
