Climate & Culture Parent Survey
Hi, Zitzman families! Our CharacterPlus parent survey is extended and now open through Thursday, October 15, at 10 p.m. It takes about 10 minutes, and responses are anonymous. We had 149 responses in 2024 and 173 in 2025; so far, we have 56. I’d love to hear from more of our families so we can keep growing!

From me to you...
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how everyone is running their own race.
At school, we see children growing and learning at different paces. One child may be proud to read a new word, while another is working hard to join a game, finish an assignment, or get through a tough morning. We may not always see how much effort those small steps take, but they matter.
It’s easy to compare our progress with someone else’s. Children do it, and grown-ups do it, too. A little encouragement can help us remember that we don’t have to be in the same place to cheer each other on.
That’s one of the things I love about a school community. Families, teachers, and staff each bring something important, and we can make the path a little easier by noticing effort, celebrating growth, and showing kindness along the way.
This week, I hope you’ll find a moment to cheer someone on—your child, another family, a teacher, or a friend. You never know how much a few encouraging words might mean.
We’re all running our own race. It’s a good thing we don’t have to run it alone.
