Sports Day
After weeks of waiting, we were finally treated to the good weather we had been hoping for, and what a fantastic Sports Day it turned out to be! A huge well done to our 6th Class pupils, who did an outstanding job leading their teams throughout the day. They showed great leadership, encouragement and enthusiasm, helping to make the day enjoyable for everyone.
The children took part in a wide range of fun stations and activities, displaying excellent teamwork, determination and sporting skills. There was plenty of healthy competition, with everyone giving their best and cheering each other on. Congratulations to all of our winning teams on their fantastic performances! Unfortunately, due to the inconsistent June weather and a very busy final week of school, we were unable to hold our second planned Sports Day. We know many pupils were looking forward to it, and we appreciate everyone's understanding.
Thank you to all the staff and pupils who helped make Sports Day 2026 such a memorable and enjoyable event!
Division One Hurling Champions
Congratulations to our Senior Hurling team on making school history by winning the Division 1 title for the very first time! This is a fantastic achievement and one that everyone in our school community can be incredibly proud of. The boys produced a superb performance in a thrilling final against St. Corban's in Naas. It was a well-deserved victory, and there were great celebrations as captain Matthew Kelly proudly lifted the Division 1 trophy.
A special word of thanks to Mr. Behan for his commitment to the team throughout the year. We would also like to thank Dolores for all of her help and support during the campaign. Their encouragement and enthusiasm played a huge part in this memorable success. Well done once again to the players and mentors on this outstanding achievement. Here's to many more successful days ahead!
Also, best wishes to SeΓ‘n Buggle who has been chosen to represent our school at the half time mini-game in Croke Park this weekend. Have a great time SeΓ‘n and enjoy the experience.
Communion Choir
Ms. Keohane and Ms. McCarthy surprised the Communion Choir with a trip to Mrs. Buggy's shop to say a huge thanks for making the Communion Day such a special event for the boys and girls in 2nd class. We are blessed to have such a dedicated school choir that enhances so many of our school events.

Sixth Class Graduation
Congratulations to our wonderful boys and girls in 6th class who graduated from St. Anne's NS. We are extremely proud of this class and we look forward to watching them continue to grow as they move on to secondary school. Special thanks to our teachers and SNAs who helped to support this class during their time in St. Anne's. Enjoy your well-deserved summer break and best of luck next year!
Farewell and Best Wishes
At the end of this school year we say goodbye to Ms. Walsh and Ms. Murphy. Ms. Walsh has been working in St. Anne's for the last number of years and she has left a lasting impact on all the boys and girls she worked with and indeed on the girls who she coached in camogie. Ms. Murphy has been on career break for the last few years and she has decided to relocate down the country. We wish both teachers all the best and we hope that they leave St. Anne's with the fondest of memories. We are very grateful for all they have done during their time with us.
We also wish Ms. Hassett and Ms. Fitzgerald the very best of luck next year as they go on maternity leave. They'll both be greatly missed in St. Anne's next year.

Ms Malones class have been working hard. As part of Maths, we learned how to play card games and a tricky game that helped us to make different quantities to ten. We learned about the hundred square and explored all of the patterns.
We had our school sports day and it ws so much fun. We went on our school tour to Explorium and it was the best day EVER! We have had lots of learning, exploring and play time outside in the lovely sunshine. Our budding Artist, Alice Ryan has an exhibition in Celbridge library. We are excited to finish Senior Infants and to move onto our next class.
1st Class - Mr. Hutchinson
Mr. Hutchinson's class had a busy June. Here's a few highlights of the fun and games in Room 6.
Ms. Doyle's 2nd Class
To my lovely 2nd Class,
What a way to end an amazing year π June was filled with sunshine, laughter and fun; from our school tour in GoQuest and eating icepops to keep cool during a heatwave, to Sports Day and our Staff vs 6th Class Rounders game. I couldnβt think of a better way to end the year.
Thank you for all your hard work and enthusiasm this year. You brought the fun to everything we did. I am so proud of you all and everything you have achieved since last September. Have a fantastic summer β you deserve it!
Iβll see you all in September,
Love, Ms. Doyle
Ms Walsh's 2nd Class
June was an exciting month in our class! We started the month with our school tour to Go Quest. Thank goodness our teachers booked an indoor tour because it was bucketing down outside! We had the best time solving all of the challenges.
This month we also had Sports Day. It was great fun and we were lucky that the sun was shining. We had our Salad Day too, where we harvested our scallions. They were so tasty and we were proud of them!
When the sun finally arrived, we spent lots of time outside enjoying it. We also found out who our teacher for 3rd class will be and we are so happy that we have Ms Bambury again!
We did lots of art this month too. We made clay fish pinch pots and decorated socks, which we loved trying on afterwards. To finish off an amazing month, we got to watch the staff vs. 6th class game!
3rd Class - Ms. McKiernan/Ms. Brophy
Ms. Hassett's Room 8
Room 8 have been enjoying lots of ice pops and water play in June to stay nice and cool in the hot weather. We had lots of fun on sports day and took part in many different activities. We are getting very good at our jigsaws and enjoy doing these during groupwork. Our junior infant pupils really enjoyed takin part in salad day and learning about the different types of vegetables that were grown in the school garden.
Congratulations to Tommy and Dylan who are graduating 6th class this year and will be moving on to secondary school. Best of luck also to Lucy in her new school!
Well done to all of the boys and girls on a fantastic year!
3rd Class - Ms. Keohane
Our Year in 3rd Class
This month we went on our school tour to Lilliput Adventure Centre. It was brilliant. We did lots of activities including bog jumping, rock climbing, orienteering, laser tag, capture the flag, aeroball and games in the field. We also made our own board games this month. Sports Day took place and we had great fun. We found out who are teacher is next year and we are very excited! We are very proud of the boys and girls in our class who represented our school in sporting activities such as GAA and the hurling blitz. Some of our favourite parts of 3rd class were going swimming, Peace Proms, Book Fair, Daffodil Day, Sponsored Walk, Choir for Communion & Confirmation, Bake Sale and starting to learn tin whistle. We have been presenting book reviews and tutorials to our class. We have learned about milking cows, grooming horses, how to identify an army officer, baking buns, drawing and lots more! It has been a wonderful year in 3rd class!

6th Class
This month, 6th Class were preparing for their transition to post primary school and Lucy Bryan visited the class. Lucy recently qualified as a doctor but it wasnβt a straight-forward journey. She spoke to 6th class about how everyone can end up on the right path if they are hard-working, determined and keep themselves balanced with an outlet like sport.
We had 5 past-pupils who just finished their first year in post-primary school come in to visit. They shared their experiences, tips and answered some of the childrenβs questions. Thank-you Elsie, Hannah, Sadhbh, Aidan and Tom.
The Parents Support Group surprised 6th Class with a pizza party. The children were delighted with this kind, thoughtful and delicious gesture.
6th Class had their school tour to Redhills Adventure Centre last Friday. Even the weather couldnβt dampen the childrenβs spirits as they played tag-archery, air-soft and many other exciting games.
The table tennis league happened over the last two weeks of school. Organised and refereed by the children themselves, they had a blast playing and cheering each other on. Well done to our finalists pictured below!
The staff -v- students rounders game was held on Thursday. After the rules were shared and the teams organised, the battle began. The 6th class hurling skills shone through with some amazing catches, speedy runs and hard batting. However, they were matched well by an enthusiastic and surprisingly agile group of SNAs and teachers. It was a close game but the staff were triumphant in the end.
6th Classβs graduation ceremony was held on Wednesday. We are very proud of our newest group of graduates. We wish them the very best in the years ahead of them at their post-primary schools.
