Band Notes - Week of April 27

General information that applies to all students and parents can be found towards the top of every newsletter, while information specific to your child's ensemble can be found in that particular section by scrolling all the way down.

Last Thursday in class, your students was given a Spring Trip Permission/Medical Form (attached below) that needs to be filled out by you and returned to the Band Hall no later than this Friday, May 1 by 4pm. These forms will accompany us to Typhoon Texas if it becomes necessary to contact you or for medical treatment. Please fill in all the blanks and sign and date at the bottom of the form.

Also included on the attachment is our Permission to Leave Band Events with Parent/Guardian Form if you are planning to pick up your student directly from Typhoon Texas instead of them riding back on the bus with us to BMS. This is usually used when parents are already with us on the trip and wish to their student back with them in their own vehicle. This documentation helps us keep track of students. We are looking for parents to serve as chaperones and come cheer us on in the audience at the Temple College Contest on Wednesday, May 6 from 9:00am-1:30pm. We need parents to drive larger vehicles, such as SUVs, vans, and trucks to help us transport larger instruments and chaperone our beginner students. Or we can put you on a bus with a director so you don't have to drive. We will even feed you lunch for free!!

Our Spring Jazz Concert will take place this Thursday, April 30 at the Belton HS PAC starting at 6:30pm. Students will need to arrive at the HS Band Hall dressed and ready to warm up by 6:00pm and we will also be performing a combined chart at the end of the concert along with the South Belton MS Jazz Band and the Belton HS Jazz Bands.
