Pioneer Families November 9th-15th

PRINCIPAL'S CORNER-
Dear Barron Families,
We had a wonderful time celebrating 100 Days of School! It was such a joy to see our students and staff dressed as 100-year-olds and celebrating 100 days of learning, growth, and perseverance. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and meaningful milestone for our Pioneers.
This week also brought unexpected weather, and we appreciate your flexibility and support during the late start at 10:00 a.m. Our priority is always the safety of our students and staff.
Our 5th grade students continue preparing for the next chapter of their journey. They recently had the opportunity to visit Charles Middle School, and our 5th grade girls visited Young Women’s Academy. These visits help students begin to imagine their future and feel confident about the transition to middle school. We are grateful to Ms. Galvan and her support team for coordinating these experiences.
We also proudly celebrated our Pioneers of the Month, recognizing students who demonstrate PRIDE every day.
January is behind us, and we continue moving forward with our campus commitments:
High expectations for learning and growth
Strong instruction in all content areas, including writing
Supporting students through engagement, productive struggle, and encouragement
Fostering positive relationships and social-emotional learning
📌 Important Reminders & Upcoming Events:
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday from 1:00–6:00 PM. We look forward to meeting with you to share your child’s progress and goals.
IMPACT Tutoring will begin on Thursday, February 5th for selected 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Permission slips will be provided during parent-teacher conferences or sent home.
After-school tutoring for K–5 students continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30–4:00 PM.
We recently concluded our Science Fair, where over 120 students participated. We are so proud of our Pioneers for their creativity, curiosity, and confidence! Thank you to Ms. Payan and her team for supporting our students.
At Barron, we are committed to growing the whole child—academically, socially, creatively, and physically. From classroom learning to intramurals, music, art, and competitions, our goal is to help every Pioneer learn, belong, and thrive.
Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and trust. Together, we are making a difference—one day, one lesson, and one student at a time. Together, we will continue to ensure that every Pioneer learns and belongs.
With gratitude and pride,
The Barron Elementary Leadership Team

We kindly ask for your support in ensuring students:
Arrive to school on time
Get a good night’s rest
Eat breakfast at home or arrive early to eat breakfast at school
Feel encouraged and calm, knowing these assessments are an opportunity to show what they have learned
