High Point News: August 17th, 2026 High Point News: August 17th, 2026

Dear High Point Families,

We are off to a great start to the school year, and I want to thank our entire school community for your continued partnership and support!

A special thank you to everyone who joined us for our Back to School Bash! Despite the heat and rain clouds in the sky, you still came out to reconnect with old friends, meet new families, and enjoy time together while our kiddos shared lots of laughs and good times. Events like this remind us what makes the High Point community so special!

Morning Arrival Updates & Safety Reminders

Thank you for your efforts to get scholars to school on time. We have already seen a drastic decrease in tardiness, and we truly appreciate your commitment! As we continue improving the efficiency of morning arrival, it is equally important that every scholar arrives safely.

Please help us by following these expectations each morning:

  • Please allow our buses to enter and exit campus without being blocked. After leaving High Point, our buses begin routes for Riverwood. When buses are delayed leaving our campus, Riverwood arrival times are impacted, which can then affect Ridgeview routes and student arrival times. Keeping the bus lane clear helps the entire transportation system stay on schedule.
  • The front carpool lane is an unassisted drop-off lane. Adults should remain in their vehicles at all times. When adults exit their vehicles, it significantly impacts the flow of traffic.
  • Students dropped off in the front carpool lane must enter through the front doors of the school. Students should not be directed to walk around the building or enter through another location.
  • Walkers or families that choose to park in the upper lot and walk their kiddos to the front entrance. If you choose this option, an adult must escort children ALL the way to the front door.
  • Please do not drop children off in the upper parking lot or on the street. For safety reasons, students may not walk from these areas without an adult. An adult must escort children ALL the way to the front door.

To help us maintain a safe arrival process, Fulton County Schools Campus Security Associates (CSA) have been asked to monitor campus cameras during morning arrival. Families observed not following traffic and arrival safety procedures will receive a warning and reminder of expectations before further action is taken.

We recognize that mornings can be busy, and we appreciate everyone doing their part. While getting our scholars to school on time is important, getting them here safely will always come first.

Thank you for helping us keep High Point a safe, welcoming, and efficient place for all of our scholars. We are looking forward to another wonderful week!
