New Elementary Photographer - Heritage Imagery
Dillsburg Elementary was the first of our four elementary schools to partner with our new photographer, Heritage Imagery. Not only was it speedy and efficient, but the photographers all made sure our students looked their best! All of our elementary schools will get to experience our new photographer this fall.
Wellsville Patriots Earn Special Recognition
Last year, several WES students participated in a special enrichment project researching Revolutionary War soldiers buried in and around the Wellsville community. Led by our very own Mrs. Meg Foster, students spent time learning about these local patriots and the important roles they played in our nation's history.
As a result of their outstanding work, the Wellsville Patriots were invited by NYCHAPS to the Dillsburg Tavern last Saturday. During the event, a member of NYCHAPS, Richard Conley, presented awards to the students and Mrs. Foster in recognition of their efforts. He was joined by, Dale Leopard, the President of Pennsylvania Son's of the American Revolution and Steve Troup, Color Guard Commander.
We are incredibly grateful to Mrs. Foster for her dedication, hard work, and leadership in making this project such a meaningful experience for our students. As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation, this project has provided a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with local history and honor those who helped shape our country.
Most importantly, we are proud of our students, who did an amazing job researching and representing each soldier. Their commitment, curiosity, and enthusiasm were truly impressive. Congratulations to our Wellsville Patriots on this well-deserved recognition!
